London Borehamwood DVLA Office
DVLA Registered Office, Units 2 & 3, Elstree Gate, Elstree Way, London Borehamwood, WD6 1JD
A sweeping reformation in December 2013 led to all 39 of the DVLA’s local offices across the UK closing down. To cut back costs and provide better, more unified services, the DVLA moved to one central hub in Swansea. The majority of its services also moved online. The London Borehamwood DVLA office at Elstree Gate shut down due to this reformation.
Today the office units previously occupied by the DVLA remain empty, though several companies including Durkan and Sopher & Co are neighbours. As there is nothing there anymore, there’s no need to visit the address or send mail here for the DVLA. When you want to reach the DVLA, you will need to go through the Swansea head office.

While people protested the closing of local DVLA offices, their services are still easily available if you know where to go. For guidance with DVLA services, call the customer services helpline number in green at the top. This could be for help with online services or with finding a Post Office which also provides them. You still have the option of using physical paperwork and getting face-to-face help at Post Offices if you prefer.
If you need more information about the DVLA’s head office in Swansea, you can find it here. The main page of this website also lists all the helpline numbers available for the different DVLA services. These will help you get in touch with the DVLA for everything from registration to licenses to tax.
